Laura Shea is the Vice President of Merchandising for Smith’s Food and Drug, a division of The Kroger Co., based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is responsible for merchandising 140 Smith’s supermarkets and multi-department stores in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming that employ over 20,000 associates.
Laura began her career with the company in 1984 as a field specialist with Kwik Shop in Hutchinson, Kansas. In 1997 she transferred to the Dillons division as a Drug/GM Coordinator before moving into Grocery where she held a number of leadership roles including: category manager, sales planner and merchandiser. Laura was then promoted to Drug/GM coordinator at our general office in Cincinnati, Ohio followed by Grocery sales plan manager and director of adult beverage. In 2015 Laura was promoted to Senior Director of Grocery Merchandising. She was named to her current role in 2016.
Laura resides in North Salt Lake, UT and has one daughter who is currently attending law school in Kansas City, Missouri.
